
German traditional costume is notable for its eccentricities, but these bridal crowns must be some of the most extraordinary. This is from St Georgen in the southern reaches of the Black Forest.

While I can't say that 17th century fashion is my particular favorite, I do love the amount of lace detail seen on the ruffs and the gowns. I just wanted to share some pictures I found particularly striking.
